Background

Ruti Wagaki graduated from Cascade Institute of Massage and Body Therapies in Eugene, Oregon, September of 1996. She became an instructor at the school in 1997, teaching various subjects for six years. For nearly 30 years, she has been in private practice, training and teaching in specialized areas of bodywork with emphasis in Structural Integration, Craniosacral Therapy, and Visceral Manipulation. She is currently a Teaching Assistant for the Barral Institute, a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®), and is a former Board Member with the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America.

A dance injury from her college years introduced Ruti to bodywork. This injury, along with her undergraduate study of movement and developmental patterning, greatly influence Ruti's work and give her a unique perspective into the bodywork field. She is a certified Qigong instructor and currently teaches clients the various benefits of this traditional Chinese healing movement practice.

Experience

Ruti's sessions are deeply intuitive and versatile. She specializes in working with clients who have acute and chronic pain, injuries, respiratory conditions, and idiopathic digestive issues. The modalities she uses are very effective for treating Long COVID, TMJ, migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, thoracic inlet syndrome, PTSD, Pervasive and Persistent Stress Disorder (PPSD), ankylosing spondylitis, surgical and injury induced scar tissue, frozen shoulder, sciatic pain, IBS, hiatal hernias, cystic fibrosis, and other lung pathologies, recovery from accidents, head injuries, strokes, and many other conditions.

Ruti also works with people who want to release emotional and ancestral trauma stored in the body. Pregnancy and postpartum sessions are available as well, along with treatments for infants and children.

For the past 35 years, Ruti has been offering astrology readings to clients. These readings are available as an added resource to help navigate one’s life and healing journey.

Before I found Ruti, I visited multiple massage therapists, chiropractors, and physical therapists. Ruti possesses a rare combination of skills and talents and uses several modalities to target specific issues. Discovering her amazing bodywork is what finally helped me break the cycle of pain and improve my quality of life.
